If you're into volunteerism and advocacy, attend the TALL Preview Party to learn more
October 17, 2025
Tallahassee Active LifeLong Leaders (TALL), a community leadership program of the Tallahassee Senior Center, is recruiting for its 2026 class. A preview party is planned for Tuesday, Oct. 21, to promote the eight-week course that meets every Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from January 20 to March 10.
TALL, in its 15th year, was developed in partnership with Leadership Tallahassee for citizens age 50 and older who are passionate about the community and civic engagement. The purpose of this unique program is to expose participants to leaders, organizations and services and encourage them to take an active role in the community.
Each program day is different. Participants will experience snapshots of the community in arts and culture, business and economic development, environment and sustainability, health and wellness, human services, public safety and more via site visits with local leaders and interactive activities.
The program seeks applicants that have demonstrated interest in enhancing positive change in the community through advocacy and volunteerism. All must have an active email address, be able to attend all eight sessions and possess a desire to explore new ways to become involved. Spaces are limited.
The TALL Preview Party will provide an overview of the program, and past graduates will share their personal experiences. Refreshments will be served.
When: Tuesday, Oct. 21, 5:30-7 p.m.
Where: Tallahassee Senior Center (Dining Room), 1400 N. Monroe St.
Applications: Available at preview party and online (beginning Wednesday, Oct. 22). Applications will be accepted until Monday, Dec. 1.
