2026 Recreational Youth Softball Program
The City of Tallahassee Parks and Recreation Youth Softball Program is for ages 6-13. A coed t-ball program is offered for players 4-6 years of age. All games may not be played at registration sites. Game sites will not be determined until all teams are finalized. In the event there are not enough teams at a park to form a league, parks may be combined with others to form a league. In most cases, practices will be held at the same location you register, unless otherwise directed. Volunteer coaches are needed for the program. Tallahassee Fast Pitch Softball Association (TFPSA)
TFPSA offers Advance Play Leagues for players ages 8–14 years of age and a Recreation League for players 14-18 years of age. TFPSA leagues are sanctioned by Babe Ruth Softball. Practices and games will take place at Tom Brown Park.
The Advanced Play Leagues (APL) consist of the Lead Off League for ages 8-10, the APL 11-12 League, and the APL 13-14 League. These are tryout leagues with a limited number of players who are selected. The Lead Off League will consist of 48 players, while the APL 11-12 and APL 13-14 Leagues will each consist of 36 players. All players who would like to try out for these leagues must be the age of that league, reside in Leon County and attend the mandatory evaluation to be eligible for selection. All players ages 8-13, who do not make the cut are encouraged to register for the City's Parks and Recreation Minor or Major League. All 14 year old players are encouraged to register for the TFPSA High School Recreational League.
The High School Recreation League is for players who are 14-18 years old. All players who register before the deadline will be assigned to a team.
