Tallahassee Police Arrest Two in Fraud Investigation Involving Property Management Business

The Tallahassee Police Department has arrested Miranda Ard and Timothy Ard following a fraud investigation involving the misappropriation of funds connected to CORE Property Management, a business operating within Leon County.

The investigation began in early October of 2025 after the Tallahassee Police Department received information regarding financial irregularities involving the property management company handling of a client’s property portfolio. Detectives initiated an investigation and obtained banking records as part of their review of the allegations.

Through that review, detectives identified evidence of the commingling of the client’s property portfolio funds and CORE’s Property Management operating account, along with multiple transactions from the company’s operating account that investigators determined were used for personal expenses. Some of these expenditures included personal travel, cruises, gambling, beauty services, dining, entertainment, and other non-business-related purchases.

As part of the investigation, detectives executed search warrants at the business location in Leon County and at the owner’s residence in Wakulla County.

Based on the evidence obtained during the investigation, Miranda Ard and Timothy Ard were both arrested and charged in connection with the fraudulent use of business funds.
